An Open Letter
Dear annoying girl who just got into the lift with me You're evidently a very busy person and I could see that you were in a tearing hurry by the way that you barged through the half-closed doors of the lift, rather than waiting all of 30 seconds for the next lift to arrive. However, you didn't really endear yourself to the rest of us by doing so, as we then had to go through the whole palaver of the lift doors resetting. To then start fluffing your hair and pouting at yourself in the large mirror behind us all seemed vain and unnecessary, as did your habit of frantically pressing the 'close doors' button over and over again at each floor, sometimes before the doors had even had a chance to open. Never mind the fact that it was a futile exercise - I'm sure it made you feel better and got you to your destination so much quicker. I do hope you utilise to the full that extra 2 minutes wandering around your floor aimlessly chatting to your cronies and wasting time. I just hope you don't get into the same lift as me again, or I might have to do something I'd regret. Yours through clenched teeth Katja |
