Sister Wendy, Second to None
So our recording of the songs from 'Postcards From God, the Sister Wendy Musical' is finally done (see many blogs passim, but specifically here). This is the first song, Sister Wendy, Second to None - please do have a listen. You can also find out more about the project here - please do visit the site and if you would like to get involved in any of our fundraising activities then we'd love to see you - the more the merrier and the sooner we can then put the show on properly. Love and unnumbered blessings Sister Mary-Francis xxx (Words and music by Marcus Reeves, Dale Wills & Kimon Daltas. Performed by Rachel Foote, Kathleen Hooey, Amy Milliams and Me) |

Well...
As Floatykatja has not blogged since Tuesday (Tuesday, yay and verily, I ask, is this fair?) Which could signal any number of things, her having a life outside of blogging, being off doing something exceedingly glamarous, or just generally not having anything to blog right now, I have decided the only sensible option is to kidnap this blog. Now, as this is a first time operation, I'm not entirely sure what kidnapping a blog entails, or how one should exact any demands based upon the newly kidnapped state of said blog. I'm kind of hoping Katja herself will step in and save the blog before we get to that stage... |

Confession
The reason that I haven't blogged in nearly a week is because I have been making a young man smile. We have shared everything - kisses and cuddles, even a bath. I think I may be a little bit in love. ![]() (Oh, and ps - how fab is my new hair colour? Well, you didn't really think you'd get away with an entire entry about somebody other than me, did you?) |

Whinge
It's not been a good morning. Firstly I received a letter from the Inland Revenue (oh yes, them again) saying that they're throwing out my appeal against my late return penalty because they don't have an agent registered for me, despite the fact that my returns have been issued by my agent for the last however many years (about 7, I think). Secondly, my food parcel from the lovely Amycady has gone missing at the post office. I received one of those little notes through the door saying that it was too big for the letterbox and I should go to the post office, so I duly did - but they can't find the parcel. If they've eaten my Freddos there'll be trouble, I'm telling you... Thirdly, the dry cleaners have singularly failed to get the marks out of my lovely wool skirt. Yes, it's my own stupid fault for dropping food in my lap, but it's still upsetting. It's one of the few work skirts I own that doesn't make me look like a fat frump. Hmf. I'm holding onto the fact that that's three things and so it should all be at an end. I am now going to eat chocolate to console myself ![]() |

Hurrah!
The post office found my parcel and even redelivered it, along with a cheery apology, so I now have a veritable treasure trove of chocolate - thank you very much, Ms Cady! ![]() Also, my scabby arm has all but cleared up (nothing that a spot of moisturiser won't fix, anyway) and I have a clean kitchen and bathroom. Yes, it seems like it's a slow news day, but since when has that stopped a 20sixer blogging? Edit: My accountant has just called, and is sending me the relevant forms to fill in for the Inland Revenue, so it looks like that little problem is on its way to being sorted out as well. Mahv'llous. |

The Blessed Joy!
I have just had confirmation that Lee the Plumber and his Mate (my biggest bro) are coming up tomorrow morning to replace our boiler, which, avid readers may remember, was going wrong as long ago as last September. I've almost forgotten what it's like to have a shower that stays hot for longer than 30 seconds. It's going to be quite novel - I am leaving my hair unwashed in anticipation. Ooh, I'm such a glamour-puss. |
