Hi Diddly Dee, an Actor's Life for Me

Spring has most definitely sprung
Early this morning... Me: You know, sweetie, it's been a while... A little later... Him: Oh my god, that's FILTHY Me: I know. Don't stop! Later still... Me: *gasping for breath* I think I'm going to pass out! Him: I'm starving and I need another shower... Spring cleaning and sex - the similarities are astounding. |

This morning...
...I will be mostly reading 'the unfeasible adventures of beaver & steve'. Woo! My postman did a new and strange thing this morning. He's obviously picked up on the fact that I'm not keen on him ringing the bell, but the envelope holding the aforesaid book was too large for my letterbox and has DO NOT BEND written on it in big red letters. So what did my postie do? Well, he shoved it UNDER the door, of course. Of course! I'm beginning to realise why my front hall is so draughty. |

Hello, good people of the internet. As some of you may know, I reside in Kilburn, a magical place where, it is rumoured, the streets are paved with leprechauns. Not for your Kilburnites the tree-lined avenues of St John's Wood or Maida Vale - no, we are proud of our seedy pubs and rightly so. It is rumoured that in the dim and distant past, before H & Claire were inflicted on the world, Faye from Steps performed in Ye Olde Cock Tavern on Kilburn High Road. One of Kilburn's lesser-known, but no less important, claims to fame, I think you will agree. The beating heart of Kilburn is The High Road, a divisive element indeed. For many years Kilburn High Road was neglected by the two councils that ruled either side - Brent to the West and Camden to the East. Kramer vs Kramer re-enacted to full heartstring-tugging effect. However, in the last few years, there have been grants given specifically to the small, neglected child that is the High Road and it has flourished, now boasting street lights emblazoned with rousing slogans, along with a Caffe Nero and a Tesco Metro - true signs that an area has, indeed, arrived. The denizens of Kilburn are currently amid a battle of epic proportions, fought between our local councillors. We have been a Labour council seat for a good while now, but this year both the Conservatives and the Lib Dems are certain that they can oust the Labour upstarts! I have had 2 letters through my door, along with being doorstepped by the rather charming Lib Dem candidate. Both letters assure me that, although Labour were significantly in the lead at the last local elections, it is now a closely-run two-horse race between Lab/Con or Lab/Lib Dem (delete as applicable, according to your party of choice). Well, I need hardly tell you that we are on the edges of our seats. Pity the poor dwellers of Maida Vale who have not such excitement. K x |

Your supper's in the cat
7.30pm and I have just received a phonecall to say that he has just left work and is going to the pub to watch the Arsenal game. Not. Fucking. Acceptable. I'm a reasonable woman and am more than happy for him to go out every night of the week if he so wishes, but he needs to let me know before I start cooking supper. I sense a pan-throwing session coming on. |
