Hi Diddly Dee, an Actor's Life for Me
"Those who agree with us may not be right, but we admire their astuteness."
Cullen Hightower
24 hours ago I was ready to commit murder, due to the most appalling tech rehearsal in which nothing much of any consequence got done and yet everything managed to go wrong. This morning (for it is morning now - eek, must go to bed!) I am full of the joys of spring and actually excited about the show again, having had our first dress rehearsal, which went excellently. 24 little hours...
What a difference a day makes...

(3.11.04 18:43) Good luck with it; or should I say, 'Break a leg'? That always sounds a bit unkind. |
(4.11.04 00:20) Apparently as long as I'm exceedingly rude and don't say thank you for wishing me luck then it's not bad luck. Or something. One of the actors was talking about Macbeth and whistling on stage the other day, so I think we've summoned a fair few of the theatre demons already. Plus we've had 2 good dress rehearsals, which is also a bad omen. Theatre-folk - complete nutters! (And yes, I do include myself in that statement...) |
(4.11.04 00:52) Surely you meant to say "The Scottish play"? *shudders* |
(4.11.04 00:55) Indeedy. Oops. Really done it now. We're doomed, I tell ye, doooooooomed! Although I may have escaped the curse of said play by not being in a theatre when mentioning the unmentionable. There's always a get-out clause.... |
(4.11.04 01:18) You should get some sleep Katja darling, for tomorrow - tomorrow you are going to be a star! [cue music] |
(5.11.04 01:14) *sings* Things look swell! Things look great! Gonna have the whole world on a plate! Everyone has to have an Ethel Merman moment every once in a while... |
