Hi Diddly Dee, an Actor's Life for Me
"Those who agree with us may not be right, but we admire their astuteness."
Cullen Hightower
My silly cat, George, can't resist a box or a bag - he just has to climb right in. This picture tickled me more than usual, however, because of the brand name on the box...

(1.11.05 10:30) Cats and boxes are like toddlers and boxes. You buy them fancy gifts and they prefer the wrapping or the bows on it. |
(1.11.05 10:30) that's so cute! |
(1.11.05 10:31) Ah your cat is so cute! Clearly 20six breeds gorgeous cats cos everyone has them..i am still trying to steal Queeners kittens cos they are adorable too..think yours is on the list too Kat.Xx |
(1.11.05 10:35) Hyper's right - my cats will force themselves into any boxes or bags left laying around, even if they have no chance in hell of fitting. It's endearing, and your cat looks so cute! |
(1.11.05 10:36) 'Tis true, HC. Although in this case I'm quite pleased because I far prefer the gift inside the box and didn't really want the cat to have them. |
(1.11.05 10:47) Yes, Hector is a fan of boxes and bags, particularly plastic dry-clean bags.. |
(1.11.05 11:08) Ooh careful Laurie, my cat got his head stuck in a bag once and was all panicky and accidentally tumbled down the stairs. Bless him. I'd hate that to happen to little Hector! Katja - What's your cat called? |
(1.11.05 11:13) *whispers* It says in the post, Sez ;o) That one's George and his sister is called Martha, but she's far less of a poser so I don't have so many photos of her.
(1.11.05 11:19) I know, it worries me - I shut him in the wardrobe the other day for 10 whole minutes without realising! He is so slinky.. I don;'t see him get past me half the time |
(1.11.05 11:23) One of my parents' cats got locked in their walk-in safe one time. We couldn't work out where the meowing was coming from for ages! (It did have air holes drilled into it but it's probably just as well he wasn't in there for too long...) |
(1.11.05 11:28) Are you keeping George and Martha in over the firework period? I usually let H out for an hour when I get back from work and he is going stir crazy at mo... |
(1.11.05 11:29) Ohhhhh so cute!!!! |
(1.11.05 11:31) Oops, so it does! Lovely name for a cat :D Apparently fireworks scare animals so much they forget where they live, so keep them safely at home! |
(1.11.05 11:33) Indeed, I am having to run up and down with his mouse-on-a-string just to take his mind off not being allowed out and he doesn't even go out that much |
(1.11.05 11:36) I haven't been keeping them in, although stories like this absolutely terrify me. I take heart in the fact that all the gardens along my road back onto each other and are pretty sheltered and I'm pretty sure that they don't venture much further than that *fingers crossed* |
(1.11.05 11:40) That is neat! Ours has taken to hiding in plastic carrier bags, which is slightly mor worrying :| |
(1.11.05 11:41) Mine are housecats, so theoretically it makes no difference, but they get quite upset by all the banging. There were some fireworks going off last night and the pair of them sat on the windowsill growling angrily at the noise. |
(1.11.05 11:42) That is absolutely shocking. It makes me feel sick to the stomach. |
(1.11.05 11:43) That last comment is response to Kat's link btw |
(1.11.05 12:17) It's horrible, isn't it? Can't believe that people would be so sick. |
(1.11.05 19:08) your cat is very cute. All these pets. I may truly have to break down and get one. |
(1.11.05 21:12) Hi Floatykatja - The minute I arrived on your page, I wanted Turkish delight. I wonder why ![]() I like your cat in the box, he looks so comfy I'm almost envious. |
(2.11.05 09:32) Enigma - doitdoitdoitdoitdoit! Arty - it's the everso subtle subliminal advertising y'know...
(2.11.05 10:27) cat's are very clever, reading is just one of their many skills.... |
(2.11.05 11:02) Feathered, do you think it would work if I wrote CAT on the side of the real cat box, to fool them into climbing inside willingly? Nah, me neither *sigh* |
(8.11.05 00:52) Lovely shot, Floaty - and a very handsome puss ... my Prudence went all soft-eyed and purry when she saw it. She has her own shoe box under a radiator ... it's old and battered and held together with sellotape, but I daren't get rid of it or she'd have the mother of all huffs. |
