drunkenspaniel / Website (14.6.06 13:53) 60 years. Bloody hell. That's a long old time. My grandmother dies weeks after her 50th Wedding anniversary. I think she'd just kept going by organising the party. The, once she'd seen every member of the family at the celebration, she gave up. Turns out she'd had widespread cancer and told no-one. Amazing. My grandad hasn't been the same. He spent almost the whole of that 50 years moaning and shouting at her, and then..... once she'd gone, he realised just how much he really loved her. Its been 12 years, and he talks like she died yesterday. I hope your grandmother will recover better - Women are so much more resillient.xx
